I would never wish a normal life for myself. I don't care about cultural norms, folk ways, or tradition. I want to live functionally in service of my few priorities: relationships, happiness, love, and peace. I've done a really bad job at some of this in the past. I'm done with that. I'm practicing and slowly getting better I think. I hope.
In other news, I really love the nutcracker. I got to listen to it from start to finish last night in a really good environment. It might be some of the best music ever made, or at least my favorite. We've all heard it all of our lives around christmas so we take it for granted, but it's really incredible and if you can put your brain in an objective space, you'll see what I mean.
